Payment
We accept cash, check, and credit card for office visits and supplements. Payments are due in full at the time of service and purchase. We do not take insurance cards or bill insurance in our office. For your convenience, we will provide you with a “superbill” for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement at the time of service. We do take FSA (flexible spending accounts) and HSA (health savings accounts) for payment.
Cancellations
We require a minimum of 72 hours cancellation notice for cancelling any appointment Monday-Friday. For non-emergency late cancellations you may be charged up to the full visit fee. Unlike other medical offices who schedule 2 or 3 patients in the same time slot, your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. We try our best to help you avoid cancellation fees by using an email reminder system, but please understand that remembering your appointment is your responsibility.
Expectations for Care:
The philosophy of naturopathic medicine is based on whole person care. Natural therapies are individualized to each patient and the goal is to balance your hormones and optimize your fertility. Patient self-care and self-responsibility are critical for health improvement outcomes. Optimizing health and fertility takes time and a willingness and commitment to a healthy diet and lifestyle changes including stress reduction.
Initial Consultation:
Your initial naturopathic appointment will last 60-90 minutes. Your first visit will include a thorough health and lifestyle history, review of any past lab work, discussion of my approach, and an individualized naturopathic plan. New blood work or specialty hormone lab work may be ordered at the initial appointment.
Follow-Up Appointments:
I generally follow up with patients every 4-6 weeks to support your continued health improvement. Follow-up naturopathic appointments are 45 minutes. During this time, we will discuss how your health has changed since your last visit. I will get a thorough update on your symptoms and check in with you regarding your general health status (sleep, energy, appetite, digestion, hormones, mood) and proceed to the next step of your care.
Laboratory Testing
During the course of your care I may recommend laboratory testing. Blood work is generally covered by insurance. Specialty hormone testing is an additional charge outside of the appointment fees.
Supplements
During the course of your care, I may recommend certain natural medicines. You have the option to purchase these supplements at our office. Payment for supplements is always due at the time of service. Supplements are nonrefundable unless they are unopened and returned within 30 days of purchase. For refills of supplements, we request 24-hour notice.
